This cruise will take you from the Quercy cliffs to the vineyards of Cahors

Upstream from the cliffs of BOUZIES, ST-CIRQ-LAPOPIE, one of the most beautiful villages of France, the château of CENEVIERES and then LARNAGOL, a typical southern village.

Downstream, the Mémorail museum of SAINT-GERY, the chapel of VERS, CAHORS, a lively town with its medieval centre, the château of MERCUES, the picturesque port of DOUELLE, CAÏX and it's royal château before arriving at LUZECH.

ST-CIRQ-LAPOPIE

One of the most beautiful villages in France overlooking the River Lot.
Its medieval houses are occupied by numerous artists and craftsmen.

Take time to visit the beautiful Cénevières Château overlooking the Lot valley, dating from the 8th century.

LARNAGOL

Typical medieval village of the Quercy region, dominated by it’s château.

MERCUES

The village is dominated by the Château de Mercuès, occupied up until the beginning of the 20th century by the Bishops of Cahors. Today it houses a grand hotel and an excellent restaurant.

SAINT-GÉRY

Known for its “Mémorail” museum, you can see the old trains which ran along the beautiful Lot Valley railway track.

DOUELLE

Former, very busy port on the Lot river.
Wine barrels were made here to be shipped to Bordeaux.

CAÏX

The château of Caïx and its vineyards belong to the Danish royal family.

VERS

The beautiful church of Notre-Dame de Velles, ancient chapel of the 12th century.

CAHORS

A medieval town where cultural and artistic activities are important.
You will find a lot of buildings of historical interest, but do not miss Valentré bridge (UNESCO World Heritage).

LUZECH
